Welcome to The Old Schoolhouse
The Old Schoolhouse in Unapool is a coastal retreat overlooking Loch Glencoul, with stunning panoramic views of the Western Ross – one of the last remaining wilderness areas in North Europe.
In 2004 the cottage was beautifully restored, extended and modernised to an outstanding level. It now sleeps 4-6 comfortably and includes central heating, wood burning stove and double glazing throughout. Whilst providing all the mod cons, this tranquil hide-away still has many of its original period features.
The Old Schoolhouse is now a luxurious holiday home to base yourself whilst you discover the delights of The Scottish Highlands.
On your doorstep are Sutherland’s secluded white sand beaches, bird watching, geological exploration, cycling, seal and deer spotting, hill walking and fishing. Within a 30-mile radius are the spectacular mountains for Quinag and Sulliven and attractions like Handa Island Bird Sanctuary, Smoo Cave, Kerracher Gardens and Eas-Cos-Aulin the highest waterfall in the UK.
